Adele: Munich was a “phenomenal experience” for her

Adele gave her last of ten concerts in Munich at the weekend. She now emotionally thanked her fans via Instagram.

Singer Adele (36) has reviewed her time in Munich in a long text. On ten evenings in August, the singer performed in a concert arena built especially for her on a theme park-like site, the Adele World. She attracted over 730,000 visitors from all over the world to her only European concerts in the Bavarian metropolis. Three days after her last concert on August 31, she thanked her fans and spoke of a “phenomenal experience”.

“Wow! Wow! Wow! Munich, you were incredible!”, the Brit began the text for a video that shows the fans and herself at the concerts and in the Adele World area. Adele was “really touched by the sincere love and goodwill that I felt from every single person who came to the individual shows.” She had never experienced an atmosphere like that at her concert evenings in Munich: “It was really spectacular and I feel very honored that I was asked to do it.”

Adele spent her entire life in Munich

She had the time of her life not only at the concerts themselves, but also when planning the “personal and immersive touches” of the shows. The pop-up arena, which covers more than 4,100 square meters, was specially tailored to the artist’s wishes. “There really is no better feeling than standing in front of people you’ve never met and belting out a bunch of songs that have changed your life and, in some ways, the lives of others,” Adele explained. The musician concluded her emotional post with the words “Thank you, Munich!”

The shows in Munich were the last chance for European fans to see their idol live. At the end of October, Adele will give a few more concerts in Las Vegas and then say goodbye for “an incredibly long time”. She announced this at her last performance in front of over 70,000 fans, visibly emotional. She wanted to enjoy the life she had built for herself and spend time with her family. The 36-year-old is known for not liking touring and last performed on the European mainland in 2016.
