Master director Tim Burton has been honored with a star on the legendary Walk of Fame. Winona Ryder gave the laudatory speech.
He is the master of gothic horror stories and will be bringing his latest work “Beetlejuice” to German cinemas on September 12th. Now, directing legend Tim Burton (66) has received his own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The ceremony on September 3rd in Los Angeles was also attended by acting stars Micheal Keaton (72) and Winona Ryder (52), who rose to world fame through Burton’s films.

“He knows the pain of the misunderstood, the strange and the unusual,” about the filmmaker behind timeless classics such as “Edward Scissorhands,” “Batman” and the Netflix series “Wednesday.” Burton helped her as a young actress to be herself.
Burton’s regular actor Michael Keaton, who first became known in the 1980s through the horror comedy “Beetlejuice” and then became a global star with “Batman,” also raved about the honoree. “There are a lot of people who make a lot of money with their superhero films because of his decision and his vision of what these films could be, because he changed everything,” he explained, looking back on the superhero genre, which Burton left his mark on like no other in the late 1980s with “Batman” and the sequel “Batman Returns.”
In addition to Keaton and Ryder, “Batman Returns” star Danny DeVito (79) and Tim Burton’s partner, Italian screen legend Monica Bellucci (59), were also present at the unveiling of the star on Hollywood Boulevard.
