Brian May suddenly lost control of his arm. The Queen guitarist was diagnosed with a mild stroke. But he is already feeling better because he is listening to his doctors.
Queen guitarist Brian May, 77, has been treated for a mild stroke. “The good news is: I’m OK,” he said in a video message posted on Instagram. He can also play the guitar. The problem occurred about a week ago, and he suddenly couldn’t control his arm. “It was a bit scary, I have to say.”
He received fantastic treatment in hospital and is now doing what he is advised to do – namely, almost nothing. He is not allowed to go out, drive, fly or exert himself too much, explained May, and said dryly that he does not want any expressions of sympathy. “It clogs up my inbox and I hate that.”
Brian May stands up for badgers
The guitarist was once a co-founder of the rock band Queen (“Bohemian Rhapsody”, “We Will Rock You”). In Great Britain, the astrophysicist and animal rights activist with a doctorate is currently working to save badgers. In the video, he also talked about a documentary he made on the subject.
