Concern for bike influencer Ann-Kathrin Bendixen: During her trip to Vietnam with Gabriel Kelly, she falls off her bike.

Ann-Kathrin Bendixen travels the world as a bike influencer known as “Affe auf Bike”. The 24-year-old is currently traveling in Vietnam – with her Let’s Dance colleague Gabriel Kelly, of all people. The two met and became friends on the RTL show this year. Now, however, their friendship is about to be put to the first test – because Bendixen had a scooter accident.

But let’s start from the beginning: Travel influencer and musician Kelly travels mainly on scooters in Vietnam. Actually, this is familiar territory for Bendixen. In her latest story, she also shows the dark side of adventure travel. She says that she slipped on her scooter and hit the handlebars hard in the chest. Nevertheless, she and Kelly continued up a mountain.

When they reached the top, however, the two had to turn back because a rain front was approaching. On the way down, Bendixen fell off the scooter a second time. This time, however, things were not so smooth and Bendixen remained lying there. “I kept losing consciousness and can hardly remember anything except the sick pain,” she says in her Instagram story. After Kelly tried in vain to call an ambulance, he finally took her to the nearest hospital on the scooter himself.

Diagnosis: Damaged soft tissue in the knee, but no bones were broken. Despite this, the doctors’ prognosis is that Bendixen will not be able to walk properly for several months. The 24-year-old has now been able to leave the hospital and will wait and see what happens next. The latest story shows Bendixen well again, while Kelly takes the bike to a workshop.

“I will be forever grateful to Gabriel for being there. I was so trapped that I don’t know what it would have been like if I had been alone.” She concludes with optimistic words to her followers: “I believe that everything always happens for a reason. Maybe something much worse would have happened today than yesterday. We were lucky that nothing worse happened.”
