Reese Witherspoon (48) was just seen again with a man in New York City, with whom she has been fueling the rumor mill for several weeks. Pictures, which include, show the two leaving a building. As several sources tell the magazine, the two are supposedly no longer just friends, but are dating. In the photos, it can be seen that the actress and the businessman are holding hands.
Did the friendship become more?
Last weekend, the two were photographed on a helipad in New York, as “Page Six” reported. Witherspoon’s sons Tennessee (11) and Deacon (20) were also there. The British “Daily Mail” first reported at the end of July that the Hollywood star and the German financier had been spotted in New York. According to the report, the two were seen together twice within a week. Photos show the two deep in conversation on the streets of the Big Apple.
At the time, a source told People that Witherspoon and the entrepreneur were “friends.” Another insider said the actress is “taking things slow when it comes to dating. She’s enjoying it, but doesn’t want it to be a big focus. She’s busy with work and her son,” the insider said. “Those are her biggest priorities.”
Witherspoon was most recently married to her second husband Jim Toth (54) from 2011 to 2023. The couple has a son, Tennessee. The actress was previously married to her colleague Ryan Phillippe (49) from 1999 to 2008. With him she has her two older children Ava (24) and Deacon.
The possible new man at her side is said to be a founding partner of a private equity firm active in Europe and North America. Before that, he was apparently a senior partner at an investment company in London. According to media reports, he studied history and international relations at Brown University and completed a master’s degree at Harvard Business School in 1996. The businessman is also said to be involved in various philanthropic educational initiatives. He was also already married and is said to have two children with his ex-wife.
