PAMI medical prescriptions: how to check if they are active

September 6, 2024 – 16:30

The entity launched a new way of managing prescriptions. Find out the details.

He Comprehensive Medical Care Program (PAMI) launched a new prescription system that guarantees the safety and effectiveness of obtaining medicines and supplies for its members. The system includes two types of valid prescriptions: white and light blue.

The white prescription has advanced security measures that allow the system to verify that the medications delivered correspond exactly as prescribed by the doctor. Upon presentation, the system will automatically verify its validity, ensuring that the prescription is active and ready to be used

The blue manual prescription remains a valid model for dispensing medicines, as long as it is activated. Non-activated blue prescriptions will not be accepted at pharmacies, which may cause delays and problems in obtaining medications.

How to check if PAMI prescriptions are active

To check if a recipe is active, you can do so from the PAMI Official Website www.pami.org.ar/validador-receta-manual. There you must enter the prescription number which is located in the barcode in the upper right section.

If any problem arises, you can always consult your Agency or call PAMI Listens at 138 or 0-800-222-7264.

Remember the following points:

  • White recipe: Medicines or supplies can be withdrawn from the pharmacy without any problem.
  • Green recipe: ask your doctor to replace it with an electronic (white) prescription or a duly activated light blue manual prescription.
  • Heavenly recipe: If it is not active, you must ask your doctor to activate it so that it is accepted at the pharmacy.
