Since September 6, Daniela Katzenberger has been back on VOX with her docu-soap. The first episode recorded strong ratings.
Daniela Katzenberger (37) has every reason to be happy: The premiere of the new season of her docu-soap “Daniela Katzenberger” on September 6th brought in strong ratings. The double episode starting at 8:15 p.m. on VOX was watched by between 750,000 and 900,000 people, which represents a total market share of 3.6 to 4.3 percent.
In the relevant target group of 14 to 49 year olds, 320,000 and then 410,000 viewers tuned in, which means a strong 9.1 and 10.2 percent. This puts “Daniela Katzenberger” in second place in a comparison of private broadcasters in prime time, behind RTL’s “Top Dog Germany – The Best Dog in Germany”.
Daniela Katzenberger is absolutely thrilled
The protagonist Daniela Katzenberger was accordingly very happy. The docu-soap of the same name follows the TV personality in her everyday life with her husband Lucas Cordalis (57) and daughter Sophia (9) on Mallorca. “I was so crazy, I was so happy. How awesome is your feedback about yesterday?” she said in her Instagram story with a shaky voice and tears in her eyes.
The cult blonde also dedicated her ratings success and showed a jubilant snapshot of herself on the back of her husband Lucas as well as the hair on her arm. “Oh my God, we are just so incredibly grateful to you. I had tears in my eyes this morning… and that was before my first coffee. And goosebumps all the way up to the roof! Thank you, thank you, thank you for liking our show so much,” she said proudly.
After she became known with “Up and Away – My Diary for a Trip” (2009) and “Goodbye Germany! The Emigrants” (2010), Daniela Katzenberger’s own docu-soap started on VOX in 2010 and ran there until 2013. After a year’s break, she changed her broadcaster and was then seen on RTLzwei, including several specials. Nine years later, she has now successfully returned to VOX. The next episode will air next Friday, September 13th.
