Preparations for Stefan Raab’s big comeback are in full swing. As much as fans are looking forward to seeing the multi-talented singer after nine years of absence from TV, the planned show fight against world boxing champion Regina Halmich will be difficult for Raab. Her plan is to send Raab to the stage when he returns in front of the TV cameras, if possible.
“We will end the fight early if possible and give Raab a serious beating for the third time,” says . The boxer, who has already defeated Raab twice in the TV ring, knows that her opponent has always been considered extremely ambitious – and that he certainly wants to make a good impression.
For Regina Halmich it is all about “boxing superiority”
Raab is playing with this in the run-up to the fight and has just appeared with fitness queen Pamela Reif – in an obvious fat suit. Nobody believes that he is as out of shape as he appears in the video, not even Halmich. “My boxing superiority, speed and experience will be the deciding factor,” she explains to the newspaper. “But Stefan Raab is very ambitious and an incredibly bad loser. It didn’t leave him alone that I had already beaten him twice.”
She is not only commenting on Raab’s ambition, but also wants to take one last dig at her opponent before the big day. That is also part of a show fight: Regina Halmich is dishing out a lot of blows even before she steps into the TV ring against Stefan Raab for the third time.
“Of course I won’t fall for it,” when asked about the video. “Stefan will be in top shape… he’ll knock us all off our feet. He’ll be standing there with a six-pack, with muscles,” she predicted. The TV star and the boxing giant first faced each other in the ring in 2001, and the second time in 2007. The third encounter will be shown on September 14, 2024 on RTL and RTL+.
