Pop superstar Taylor Swift (34) has announced her support for Kamala Harris (59) after the TV debate between the US presidential candidates. After Harris’ debate with former US President Donald Trump (78), the musician called the politician a “level-headed, gifted leader”.

“I will be casting my vote for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz in the 2024 presidential election,” about the Democratic presidential candidate and her possible vice president. “I’m voting for @kamalaharris because she fights for the rights and causes that I believe need a fighter to represent. I think she is a level-headed, gifted leader and I believe we can accomplish so much more in this country when we are led by calm and not chaos.” The singer continued, among other things: “I did my research and made my choice.”
The 34-year-old captioned her post “Childless Cat Lady” – a reference to the term used by Trump’s running mate JD Vance (40) for women who do not have children. Swift added a photo of herself with her cat Benjamin Button, who graced the cover of “Time” magazine with the singer.
Taylor Swift also supported Joe Biden
According to US media reports, Taylor Swift consistently stayed out of politics at the beginning of her career. Two years after the start of Trump’s presidency, the singer then decided to share her political opinion. In an Instagram post, Swift supported Democratic candidates in the 2018 midterm elections. In 2020, she spoke out in favor of Joe Biden (81).
