Garcia took The fable of the frog and the scorpion as a starting point for creating his new workIt was during the pandemic that, watching Mr. Arkadin, Orson Welles’ 1955 film, the musician was amazed by Welles’ own performance, who tells the anecdote with a glass and a cigar in his hand:
“Now I’m going to tell you about a scorpion: This scorpion wanted to cross the river and asked the frog to take him there..
“No,” said the frog, “if I let you climb on my back you can bite me and a scorpion sting is deadly.
“Well,” replied the scorpion. “Where is the logic in your words?” Scorpios always try to be logical.:If I sting you, you die and I will drown.
Hearing these words, the frog was convinced and allowed the scorpion to climb on top of her, but when they were in the middle of the river she felt a terrible pain and realized. Despite everything, the scorpion had stung her.
“Logic!” the dying frog cried as he began to sink, dragging the scorpion beneath the water. “There is no logic in this!”
“I know,” replied the scorpion. “But I couldn’t help it, It’s my character. Let us drink to character.”

What is “The Logic of the Scorpion”, Charly García’s new album?
The album is a A mix of new and original songs by García with remakes of old songs and covers of some of his favorite artists.. It also features the participation of Fernando Kabusacki, David Lebón, Roberto Pettinato, Kiuge Hayashida, Fabian Zorrito Von Quintiero, Hilda Lizarazu, Fernando Samalea, Rosario Ortega and Toño Silva.
On the other hand, one of the most anticipated moments of the album is track number 10, “La pelicana y el androide”, which will be performed with Luis Alberto Spinetta. And it is that, with technological practices, they were able to recreate the voice of the Argentine icon. This song can be heard on the 1986 album called “Prive”, by Spinetta, and which is precisely in the 10th place.
Likewise, Garcia shares two songs with David Lebón and one with Pedro Aznarboth members of the band Serú Girán, one of the most acclaimed in the history of Argentine rock. In addition, the album closes with “Rock and Roll Star”, a cover of the song So you wanna be a rock and roll star of The Byrdstogether with Fito Páez.
The artist worked head to head with Matías Sznaidera young 30-year-old producer who had been working with him on his last live appearances. The work dynamic was clear: Charly recorded material and sent it to Sznaider, and then in the afternoon they met to assemble, select and dissect, in a small and warm studio in the Caballito neighborhood.
