“Mourning the loss of a loved one is a deeply personal and emotional experience,” the statement said. “During this time as we experience feelings of grief, reflection and remembering, we ask for privacy and understanding to allow us the space to grieve in our own way.”
The family continued, “This time is a time of healing, and we appreciate your respect for our need for solitude as we honor the memory of our beloved Howard Stanley Beverly, known to the world as Frankie Beverly.”
The statement continues about the Philadelphia-born singer: “He lived his life with a pure soul, as you would say, and for us there was no one who could do it better. He lived for his music, his family and his friends. Love one another as he would have wanted us all to love him.”
The cause of Frankie Beverly’s death is currently unknown.

Beverly celebrated a career high point with US superstar Beyoncé five years ago. He even described the recording of the song “Before I Let Go”: “That was one of the highlights of my life and in a class of its own.” The song was released as a bonus track on her album “Homecoming: The Live Album”.
