The measure was announced this Thursday through Decree 818/2024 published in the Official Gazette. Both officials had been appointed to their posts on July 15 by the Office of the President. In addition to the SIA and the ASNthe incorporation of the Federal Cybersecurity Agency (AFC) and the Internal Affairs Division (IAD).

Alejandro Walter Colombo was appointed as director of the Argentine Intelligence Service (SIA)He worked at SIDE in the 1990s, during the Menem administration, as a delegate in Madrid and Rome, and then he was in the ranks of Mauricio Macri (when he was Head of Government of the City of Buenos Aires) in the area of International Relations.
The other is Alejandro Pablo Cecati, director of the National Security Agency (ASN)He is a retired general commissioner who served as Macri’s head of security during his presidency and head of the Military Household.
