Liam Gallagher has taken the first step in the Oasis comeback. On the platform X he revealed that he had called his brother Noel.
Liam Gallagher (51) has revealed that he approached his brother Noel Gallager (57) about the Oasis comeback. “I called him, but I’m not telling anyone because I don’t want people to think I’m a wimp and stuff, that stays between us,” he wrote on Wednesday (September 11). He thus answered a fan’s previous question about which of the brothers made the first move after the band split up in 2009.
Liam Gallagher’s snarky answers
Liam Gallagher is known for his humorous responses and interactions with followers on social media. After another person asked him what happened with him and Noel, he replied: “So we’re in a band called Oasis, he’s a guitarist, I’m the singer and we’re going to play a few gigs next year, I hope that clears things up.”
Even after criticism of the ticket prices was voiced by fans and politicians, “Oasis are back, you’re welcome, and from what I hear their attitude stinks. It’s good to know that some things never change,” he said about the concert tickets, the price of which increased based on demand. According to media reports, the cost rose to as much as 355 British pounds, the equivalent of around 420 euros.
Speculations about support acts and line-up
Five more shows were added to the originally announced dates of the reunion tour in Great Britain and Ireland after the rush for tickets was overwhelming. Citing an anonymous source, two ex-Oasis guitarists are said to be taking part in the tour. Both founding member Bonehead (59, real name Paul Benjamin Arthurs) and his successor Gem Archer (57) are “very likely” to be on stage with the Gallagher brothers.
In addition to the band constellation, the opening act is also the subject of a lot of speculation. According to an insider close to the group, Liam Gallagher is “very interested in established acts”. Fans will find out who really belongs to the formation at the latest at the first performance on July 4, 2025 in Cardiff, Wales.
