The last increase had been applied four months ago and, since then, they have remained unchanged. Now, the minimum ticket with the SUBE registered will rise to the $280, while with the unregistered travel card it will be $560. For its part, the cash ticket will increase up to $900.

The increase was made official this Friday after its publication in the Official Gazette through the Resolution 33/2024 of the Ministry of Transportation. The same slogan establishes an increase in the rates of passenger rail transport and authorizes this increase in the costs of train tickets.
Key points of the text:
The regulation argues that the increase is necessary due to the rise in operating costs and mentions the increase in employee salaries, fuel costs, electricity and maintenance of rolling stock. In this context, it indicates that the increase is justified by the need to ensure the sustainability of the service and with the aim of avoiding an operating deficit that puts the quality and frequency of services at risk.
It also mentions the validity of social tariffs for certain groups of the population, as this increase will have a direct impact on the pockets of rail transport users.
