Lina Larissa Strahl doesn’t just recharge her energy on vacation. Here the artist reveals what gives her strength in everyday life.
Friends and family are the most important source of energy for Lina Larissa Strahl (26), as she reveals in an interview about the “Energy By Longchamp” event in Berlin. In it, the singer and actress also talks about how she recharges her batteries and keeps fit. At the event for Longchamp’s current autumn/winter collection under the motto “Where Do You Find Your Energy”, which was also attended by Luna and Lilli Schweiger, Harriet Herbig-Matten and Kim Hnizdo, Lina Larissa Strahl also explained which fashion trend she is currently particularly enthusiastic about.
As a singer, you create a good atmosphere for your audience with your music. How does it feel to be on stage?
Lina Larissa Strahl: Being on stage often feels unreal and at the same time it gives you a lot of energy and adrenaline. Usually so much that you need a few hours after a concert to collect yourself and be able to sleep peacefully.
What music really gives you energy?
Lina Larissa Strahl: I’m really happy that this summer was such a girly pop summer. Sabrina Carpenter, Chappell Roan and Miley Cyrus – I love listening to these artists loudly. Their songs and the whole atmosphere put me in a good mood.
You have a lot of fans. What does interacting with them mean to you?
Lina Larissa Strahl: The exchange with my fans means a lot to me. Because many of them have been with me for several years and we have grown up together, the connection is very close and special, in a beautiful way.
And where do you like to be when you are looking for peace and quiet?
Lina Larissa Strahl: To be honest, at home on my sofa or in one of my favorite cafes. I like to read in these places or listen to a podcast, for example, and enjoy some time for myself. Walking my dog also has a calming effect on me.
You probably had little peace and quiet while taking part in “Let’s Dance”. How did that change your relationship with dancing?
Lina Larissa Strahl: Positive – that’s for sure. I always thought, “dancing and I, things couldn’t be further apart”… “Let’s Dance” changed that for me. I learned to trust myself more, I was able to discover new limits and also developed a stronger body awareness. I think dancing is a very special art form and I wish I could master it better.
Who from the show are you still in touch with?
Lina Larissa Strahl: Of course with Zsolt. We write from time to time and recently we even spoke on the phone. I’m looking forward to seeing him and the other professional dancers again on the “Let’s Dance Tour”. I’m also still in good contact with Eva Padberg and we’re always happy when we see each other.
Which fashion trends and accessories currently give you a boost of energy and happiness?
Lina Larissa Strahl: I love styling my outfits with accessories, be it scarves or bow-shaped earrings, for example. In terms of fashion trends, I currently like wearing longer, floaty skirts. I was never someone who liked wearing skirts, as it was a bit outside of my comfort zone. However, long skirts are the perfect item for me to combine cool outfits in which I feel comfortable and confident.
Do you carry things in your handbag that you use as an energy booster when you need it?
Lina Larissa Strahl: I think the energy boosters in my handbag are my AirPods, some jewelry and makeup. I often do my makeup spontaneously on the train or in a taxi and listen to a good album or playlist. That puts me in a good mood.
How many handbags do you have?
Lina Larissa Strahl: There are definitely several, but I often use the same one in everyday life. For events or special moments, I always enjoy changing up my handbag.
What helps you get out of a midday slump?
Lina Larissa Strahl: Sometimes it helps me to just go out into the fresh air and take a nice walk. Or I do some sport, a bit of exercise is always good.
What time of day do you usually feel at your best?
Lina Larissa Strahl: Funnily enough, I think it will be around 11 a.m. My day will already be a few hours underway and I’ll be ready and have enough energy for a studio session or to-dos that lie ahead of me!
Do you have a morning ritual that gives you energy and good vibes for the day?
Lina Larissa Strahl: I really like getting up in peace, going jogging afterwards and then starting the day with a good breakfast. I often listen to a podcast or an audio book while I get ready for the day. This stops me from getting too lost in thought and puts me in a positive mood.
Friends and family are an important source of energy for many people. What do you think are the perfect hours when you are out and about with your loved ones?
Lina Larissa Strahl: My friends and family are also an important source of energy for me. I would even say the most important. I love having good conversations, going for walks together, getting a coffee or doing other things with friends and family, like driving to the seaside or into the forest on a Sunday. Peace and nature slow down my pulse a little and I can relax. Going on holiday with friends also recharges my energy.
How much and what kind of sport do you integrate into your everyday life – and how do you pull yourself together when you don’t feel fit enough?
Lina Larissa Strahl: I like to go jogging, especially when the weather is nice, or I go to work out classes. That’s a good way to switch off my mind for a while. If I don’t have much motivation, it helps me to do the sport with friends, for example, or I swap jogging for a longer walk. But it’s also perfectly fine to give yourself some rest and just skip a workout.
