Demi Moore: She gives health update to Bruce Willis

Demi Moore (61) has spoken about her ex-husband Bruce Willis (69), who suffers from dementia, and stressed that he is in a stable condition. The actress also said that she “really appreciates the time” she spends with Willis and the family.

During their appearance on the “Drew Barrymore Show” on September 13, Demi Moore and host Drew Barrymore (49) reminisced about their time together working on “Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle” from 2003. The presenter reminded Moore of Bruce Willis’ small role at the beginning of the film. “When we were filming ‘Charlie’s Angels,’ Bruce came and acted in it, he opens the film, and we got to work with him,” said Barrymore, and Moore admitted: “I had completely forgotten about that.”

“I’ve known him my whole life too… how is he doing now?” Barrymore asked next, before Moore, who was married to the actor from 1987 to 2000, revealed that he is “in a stable position under the circumstances.”

She then explained how she and her family have been dealing with the action star since he was diagnosed with aphasia and later frontotemporal dementia. “I tell my children that you have to meet them (those affected, editor’s note) where they are. You shouldn’t hold on to who they were or what you want from them, but who they are in that moment. And that creates so much beauty and joy and love and sweetness.” When she is in Los Angeles, she goes there every week, “I really appreciate the time we all spend together.”

In March 2022, the Willis family announced that the actor would be “stepping back” from his decades-long career following his aphasia diagnosis. Almost a year later, in February 2023, his wife Emma Heming-Willis (46) announced that his condition had worsened to the point where a “more specific diagnosis” had been made.
