Britney Spears wished her sons Jayden James and Sean Preston a happy birthday. The brothers turned 18 and 19 this week.
Britney Spears (42) dedicated a birthday photo to her two sons. The singer shared snapshots of herself with the two siblings, who were still toddlers at the time. While her younger offspring Jayden James turned 18 on Thursday (September 12), Sean Preston celebrated his 19th birthday on Saturday (September 14).
“I hope you get all your wishes and more”
“This month is my boys’ birthday!!!”, Spears enthused in the message accompanying her post. “Happy birthday babies and I hope you get all your wishes and more!!!”, she wrote in her greeting. Referring to the first picture in the series of photos, in which the family is obviously staring up at the sky, she added: “Anyone have any idea why we are all looking up?”.
In it, Spears can be seen with dark brown hair, holding one of her sons. In the second image, she also carries one of the siblings, who is holding a toy boat. Like the third photo in the series, it shows her with her iconic blonde mane. In the last of the three snaps, one of her children runs ahead of her, while Spears, in a pink mini dress, carries her second child close to her.
Allegedly little contact with her sons
The multiple Grammy winner’s children come from her marriage to Kevin Federline (46), which officially ended after about three years in July 2007. Federline has had sole custody of their sons since 2008. He has lived with them, his new wife and their children in Hawaii since 2023. Spears has reportedly had only minimal contact with Jayden James and Sean Preston in recent years and had a strained relationship. As Federline’s lawyer said, a phone call on Mother’s Day calmed the situation somewhat. “Obviously, reconciliation/reunification is a bit complex and can be a process that takes some time,” said lawyer Mark Vincent Kaplan. However, he viewed the call as a “step in the right direction.”
