The Chamamé Festival begins in Corrientes, with reduced capacity, health pass and national artists

“It is a huge commitment to be able to hold the Fiesta even in a pandemic and after the declaration of the chamamé as intangible cultural heritage of humanity. The objective of the provincial government is to continue taking care of everyone’s health, but we also have the need to reactivate cultural actions that at the same time imply work spaces for Corrientes”, said the president of the Corrientes Institute of Culture, Gabriel Romero.

In a dozen evenings, the party will offer a total of 280 musical numbers, dance numbers and cultural commemorations on stage, which in this edition will revolve around the UNESCO declaration.

The organization specified that the public capacity will be between 6,000 and 7,000 people, inside the amphitheater that has a total capacity of 12,000 seats.

To enter, the health pass will be requested and those who do not have the complete vaccination schedule must present a negative PCR carried out in the last 72 hours, requirements that will govern both the public and the artists and media.
