Who is Ed Gein?
Season 3, like the first, focuses on another twisted killer. Edward Geinknown as the Butcher of Plainfield or the Plainfield Ghoul, confessed to murdering two women in the 1950s and also allegedly made trophies from bodies and skin of corpses he exhumed from graveyards. Gein’s story inspired the character of Leatherface in the director’s 1974 horror classic Tobe Hooper, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre.
Monster was created by Murphy and Ian Brennan, and the original installment ranked number 3 on Netflix’s Top 10 English-language shows list. Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story debuts Thursday on Netflix.
Known for his role as Jackson ‘Jax’ Teller in Sons Of Anarchy from FX, Hunnam also headlined Shantaram from Apple TV+ and will next be seen starring Criminal from Prime Video. His most recent film credit is Rebel Moon – Part One: A Child of Fire from Netflix.
