This was signed according to Regulatory Decree 64/22 and will remain in effect until the first quarter of 2025. Currently, one of the most expensive violations is speeding when going over 150 km per hour. Such a fine can reach almost two million pesos since it is considered to be lethal to the life of a third party.

How the value of the Fixed Unit is calculated for fines in CABA
Fines are calculated based on the value of the Fixed Unit and these are calculated based on the value equivalent to half a liter of higher octane gasoline reported by the Argentine Automobile Club (ACA) Headquarters for six-month periods.

For the month of September, the fine for covering the license plate will be $471,390. This is one of the most expensive violations, since covering the license plate is intended to prevent security cameras from capturing you.
