Daniel Aminati and wife Patrice: The fight against cancer continues

In August, Patrice and presenter Daniel Aminati announced the good news: no more metastases. What is the situation today?

One and a half years after her cancer diagnosis, the wife of ProSieben presenter Daniel Aminati (51) gives a health update: “What’s new?” Patrice Aminati (29) keeps her followers up to date on September 18. “Nothing! Isn’t that wonderful?”

In April 2023, the mother of a two-year-old daughter and her prominent husband made the diagnosis public: black skin cancer. Metastases had already formed. She let her followers share in the devastating chemotherapy treatments and the bad news that followed. But in August she posted the redeeming news: six months after the second cancer therapy, she was free of metastases. The 29-year-old explains in a new post whether it has stayed that way.

“Current status: no metastases, no tumor markers. What remains? Therapy is ongoing to maintain the current status. The side effects are a rollercoaster ride. Tumor-free does not mean therapy-free. That applies to me and all other affected people too,” she explains next to a series of pictures that show her from weak in the hospital to happy on the golf course, pulling weeds or playing in the hay with her daughter.

“I celebrate the hours and days when I am pain-free”

“Doctor’s visits, examinations, hospital stays alternate – still. But: I enjoy, celebrate hours and days when I am not in pain, I am not anxiously listening to myself, I don’t feel anything, I don’t have to counteract it with medication,” she says, happy about the new hope that her little family can finally draw on.

She goes on to thank her treating doctors: “But there was also the nighttime car ride to Cologne, where I had such unbelievably painful cramps that we drove to the nearest hospital at 1 a.m. It’s unbelievable how doctors work together across federal states here in Germany, how everything is done for patients in a very short time! Thank you!”Between doctor’s appointments and hospital stays, Aminati enjoys the “wonderful everyday life” with their daughter Charly Malika. “At the playground, cooking, baking, playing the piano, doing sports, gardening, cleaning out… things that I can now do myself again – and suddenly enjoy again. Office work too… I’ll probably NEVER get used to that,” she jokes. “And what else? I walk through puddles in my rubber boots! Why? Because I can (again and again)!”The cancer diagnosis in 2023 changed the life of the beautiful psychology student and sharpened her eye for what’s important in life. “I am grateful that, despite the diagnosis – malignant melanoma stage four with distant metastases in many different organs – they fought for me and gave me hope,” she shared moving words on her Instagram profile in August.
