The Swiss television presenter Michelle Hunziker (47, “Wetten, dass”) would like to host the Eurovision Song Contest 2025 in Basel. “Of course I would do it straight away. It would be a huge honor,” she told the newspaper “Blick”. The big television show is usually watched by more than 150 million viewers.
The Swiss media company SRG is organizing the ESC 2025. It has not yet announced any details about the planned shows. The final will take place on May 17th. Switzerland is hosting because Nemo won the ESC 2024 in Malmö with the song “The Code”.
Hunziker lives in Italy and can often be seen as a presenter there and on German-speaking television. She is considered one of the favorites for the job. She said she is happy about that. “But so far I have not been asked,” she clarified.
