Bianca Heinicke: Fans criticize her new podcast

Bianca “Bibi” Heinicke has announced a podcast with partner Timothy Hill. However, her fans are anything but enthusiastic.

After two years of silence, Bianca “Bibi” Heinicke (31)’s social media accounts have been offering a lot again since April this year – from insights into her life to vegan recipes. Now the former YouTuber (“BibisBeautyPalace”) has presented her latest project: a joint podcast with her partner Timothy Hill. The first two episodes of “SinnSafari” are already online and are already causing criticism in the “Bibi” fan community.

This is what the new podcast is about

After Heinicke had already teased a new project with her partner at length in advance, she let the cat out of the bag on Thursday (September 19). “We can’t believe that we are finally sharing our heart’s project with you and are so excited about this adventure with you,” wrote the influencer, who is showing her together with Hill.

The two are sitting on a sofa looking into the camera, he in a dark green T-shirt, she in a lavender top and with a new red hair color. The words “SinnSafari” are written above it. The couple also announced that it is a video podcast that can be accessed via a website. According to the podcast website, the two want to discuss “topics such as philosophy, mindfulness, personal development and the art of living consciously.”

you can hear Bianca Heinicke philosophizing about how to deal with thoughts. Two episodes are already available on her website, she says. To hear or see the episodes, fans have to register on the website and take out a membership – at a price of 3.99 euros per month. This grants “access to all exclusive content, video podcasts and live streams”, as well as “exclusive blog posts”. How regularly or when this content will be published is not known.

And that’s exactly what’s causing a lot of discontent among “Bibi” fans. “Why not just put it on Spotify?”, several Instagram users ask. “Such a heartfelt project that they charge 4 euros straight away,” is another of many similar comments.

“I’ve found the development to be really good so far, even if I missed taking a closer look at the exploitation of the past, with mass consumption. Now there’s another new product that they want to sell us, although you can’t tell me that Bianca doesn’t have enough resources to offer it on free platforms. Same core, different packaging,” notes one user.

Bianca “Bibi” Heinicke was one of the early, big, successful German YouTubers. On her channel “BibisBeautyPalace”, founded in 2012, the then 19-year-old initially shared videos on the topics of fashion, make-up and cosmetics, and later humorous videos from her private life, including with her husband Julian Claßen (31) aka “Julienco”, whom she married in 2018 and with whom she has two children. As of September 2024, she has 5.8 million subscribers on the closed account, making her one of the five most subscribed German-language channels on the video platform. Heinicke has also been repeatedly criticized for her numerous collaborations, product placements and specially released products (such as the cosmetics brand Bilou) for fueling excessive consumption.

When she separated from Julian Claßen in May 2022, Heinicke initially disappeared from the scene. In April 2024, she returned. She announced that she wanted to drop her pseudonym “BibisBeautyPalace” and has since then appeared under her real name again. In July 2024, she launched a blog on topics such as veganism and meditation. Since separating from her husband, Heinicke has been in a relationship with Timothy Hill, and she made the relationship official with her return to the public eye.

Bibi and Timothy Hill go on live tour

With the first two episodes, the couple also announced a live tour. “In selected cozy podcast lounges throughout Germany, we will delve deep into the philosophical waters with you and let your questions and thoughts guide us. Exciting discussions, intensive topics and, of course, plenty of opportunities for interaction await you,” says the podcast’s website. The couple will perform in Cologne on October 21, in Berlin on October 28, in Munich on October 30, in Frankfurt on November 11 and in Hamburg on November 12.
