The City of Buenos Aires will vibrate next Sunday with a new edition of the classic Marathon.
The marathon of Buenos Aires 42k This will be carried out Sunday, September 22 from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. and the route of the event was announced.
The International City Marathon is supervised by the Argentine Athletics Confederation and the Metropolitan Athletics Federation. It is part of the calendar of the International Marathon Association (AIMS) and receives around 13,000 runners from more than 45 countries every year.
On Friday 20th and Saturday 21st September (from 10am to 6pm) registered runners, whose only requirement is to be 18 years old on the day of the competition, will be able to pick up their kit, for which they must present their ID, medical certificate, and registration voucher.
The route of the Buenos Aires Marathon will be:
- 1st Av. Pres. Figueroa Alcorta between Dorrego and Julio A. Noble avenues,
- 2nd Ave. Pres. Figueroa Alcorta, Ave. Guillermo Udaondo, Ave. Del Libertador (northbound),
- 3° Vedia
- 4° The Cachila
- 5th Collector Cantilo Avenue
- 6th Labruna Bridge
- 7th Ave. Guillermo Udaondo
- 8th Figueroa Alcorta Avenue
- 9th Sarmiento Avenue
- 10° Av. Del Libertador (affecting three lanes up to Alvear Avenue and then completely southbound)
- 11° Carlos Pellegrini, Corrientes Ave., Leandro N. Alem Ave. (southbound, not affecting Metrobús),
- 12th Av. Rivadavia, av. Pres. Roque Sáenz Peña, until Suipacha, returning to Av. Pres. Roque Sáenz Peña

Meanwhile, on Saturday, September 21, from 4 to 6:30 p.m., there will be roadblocks on Avenida Presidente Figueroa Alcorta between Avenida Dorrego and Julio A. Noble.
