Since Saturday (September 21st), the Oktoberfest has been in full swing in Munich. On Sunday (September 22nd), players and officials from FC Bayern Munich also made their traditional trip to the Wiesn. Bayern veteran Thomas Müller joked: “We don’t even have to drink our way into the atmosphere.” No wonder, as the team has just had a week in which they scored a total of 20 goals. On Saturday, Bayern famously beat Werder Bremen 5-0.
Vincent Kompany releases beer
Many of the Bayern players appeared in the Käfer tent with their wives and partners. Harry Kane (31) came with his wife Katie Goodland, Joshua Kimmich (29) with his Lina. Kingsley Coman (28) appeared with his girlfriend Duvad Sabrina, Manuel Neuer (38) with his Anika (24). Successful coach Vincent Kompany (38) took a lot of time for the fans present, gave autographs and posed for photos.
“Vincent has approved the beer. So everyone has to decide for themselves,” said CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen (57) about his players’ alcohol consumption. He continued: “We couldn’t have had a better start to the season. And that gave us the right feeling for the start of the Oktoberfest.”
