Sandra Hüller graces “Vogue” anniversary cover: “Completely lost” in fashion

Sandra Hüller appreciates being dressed for important photo shoots. She describes her own fashion style as “hopeless”.

Sandra Hüller (46) has made an international name for herself as an actress in recent years, thanks to various awards and an Oscar nomination, among other things. To mark the 45th anniversary of the German edition of the fashion magazine “Vogue”, she is now gracing the cover. She was photographed for the photo series by the German star photographer Juergen Teller (60). In the cover photo, Hüller is wearing a complete look by Louis Vuitton. She really appreciates being dressed for such photo shoots, as she reveals in an interview with “Vogue”.

“The fashion that I get to wear at these kinds of photo shoots is really great and inspiring,” explains the 46-year-old, who lives in Leipzig, among other places. For her personally, dressing up always has something to do with a character – “with inventing, finding your way into something.”

“Completely lost” when it comes to fashion

However, she is rather reserved about her own sense of fashion in the conversation: “As far as my own style is concerned, I think it’s just hopeless.” But she does enjoy finding out what works well for her with outside help. “But I’m completely lost when it comes to that. I’m convinced that you can’t learn style.” Either you have a knack for it or you don’t; she doesn’t see herself as “the right person to ask” in that regard.

At the beginning of the year, Sandra Hüller made several appearances on the world’s most famous red carpets. For her role in “Anatomy of a Case”, she was awarded a César in France, and she was also nominated for both an Oscar and a Golden Globe for the role. At the 2024 BAFTA Awards, she was nominated for Best Actress for “Anatomy of a Case” and for Best Supporting Actress for her role in “Zone of Interest”. In 2017, she played the female lead in the film “Toni Erdmann”, which was nominated for Best Foreign Language Film at the Oscars. For this role, she received the German Film Award, among others.
