“Harlequin” is set to drop on September 27 and will feature 13 songs. In the lead-up to the announcement, Gaga teased fans with Instagram posts: “I’m ready for my interview,” one post read, while another said: “Don’t tell me what to wear.”
A third post, which was accompanied by the lonely strumming of an acoustic guitar, read: “No duct tape. No mission.” She also posted about the album earlier this week with posters that included the number “6.5,” presumably meaning she doesn’t consider this to be a full-length Lady Gaga studio album, unlike the upcoming one which has been written in shorthand as “LG7.”
