Sarah Engels (31) is back after a worrying time. Her daughter Solea (2) had to go to hospital, as she announced at the weekend. But now the two-year-old is doing well again, the singer reports in her Instagram stories.
Sarah Engels: “Every mother knows how bad it is”
“The last few days have been anything but nice, I admit that quite openly. I think every mother knows how bad it is when your own children are ill – no matter how bad they are,” says Engels. Then she officially gives the all-clear: “And that’s why I’m just happy that she’s well again, that she’s laughing, playing and is as positive as she always is.” Solea is simply her “little ray of sunshine.”
Sarah Engels says she now feels ready to record stories again and to be back. The 31-year-old did not say what the little girl was missing.
Solea is Sarah Engels’ second child. It comes from her 2021 marriage to ex-football professional Julian Büscher (31) – whose last name has been Engels since the wedding. Her first child, son Alessio (9), comes from her first marriage to singer Pietro Lombardi (32). The marriage lasted from 2013 to 2019, and they separated in 2016.
Solea’s indisposition not only had personal consequences, but also a professional appointment was affected. She had to cancel her appearance on the “ZDF-Fernsehgarten” last weekend “at very short notice,” she reported in the stories. But “everyone was very understanding there too. And I really appreciate that,” the Cologne native said.

Sarah Engels also linked the happy private news with some good professional news. “Very good news was also announced yesterday, namely that I can take part in ‘Holiday on Ice’ again.”
This time, however, she is not participating as a figure skater, but as a singer. Starting in November, Sarah Engels will sing at the opening shows in Cologne, Düsseldorf and Berlin.
