Good news from the Santos family: After Nico Santos (31) became the father of a son in the summer, another new release is now on the way. As the singer revealed in a video, he will be releasing two new songs in October – one in English, one in German. This will not only make his son happy, but also many fans.
“Being on the road for a month will be a challenge”
As expected, the birth of his son this summer has not only turned hit singer Nico Santos’ life upside down. It has also apparently given him new creative impulses, as he reveals in the interview. From the end of October, Santos will be touring Germany, Austria and Switzerland: “Being on the road for a month now will probably be a challenge. When I was on tour in the past, I was just gone. Now I’m going straight back home. Even if that means more flying or more driving, it’s definitely worth it for the few hours.” His little son and his wife Aileen (32), whom he married in 2022 on his adopted island of Mallorca, are waiting there.
Fans look forward to Santos in German
Santos is not only looking forward to the challenges of the new tour, but also to two new songs. And they are quite something: In October he wants to release a new song in German as well as an English song. Singing in German is not entirely new for Santos. However, the Bremen native regularly performed his chart hits such as “Rooftop” in English. His fans know how touching Santos can sound in his native language from the Vox format “Sing meinen Song – Das Tauschkonzert”. There he covered hits by Lea (32), Selig and Silbermond, among others. He has also sung in German as a feature for rapper Kool Savas and on the children’s sampler “Giraffen-Affen 6”.
