The Cure shared his epic and emotional new single “Alone”, in addition to confirming the release of his long-awaited new album “Songs Of A Lost World”.
The song is one of many tracks that the band has teased in their recent shows.
The leader Robert Smith He previously told the NME portal that their first album in 16 years would be “ruthless” and “express the darker side of what I have experienced in recent years”drawing more on the sounds of the classic ‘Pornography’ album as it “doesn’t have any of those songs that lighten the mood at all” due to having lost his mother, father and brother in recent years, the track is an extensive indie-noir mood piece that sees the frontman sing about feeling “cold and afraid”, adding: “The ghosts of everything we’ve been, we toast with bitter dregs to our emptinesses.”
