Great Britain’s former Prime Minister Boris Johnson will publish his memoirs in October – and in it he will also report on a moment with Prince Harry at a critical time for the Royal Family.
Britain’s former Prime Minister Boris Johnson said he should persuade Prince Harry not to leave his British homeland. The Daily Mail newspaper reported that he was supposed to have a conversation with him among men, citing Johnson’s memoirs, which are due to be published in October.
The conservative politician claims that representatives from Downing Street and Buckingham Palace believed in January 2020 that he could still change Harry’s mind. Johnson viewed this as a ridiculous approach: “Absolutely hopeless,” the newspaper quoted him as saying.
Harry’s withdrawal from the Royal Family
Prince Harry – the younger son of King Charles III. – had resigned from his royal duties almost five years ago and left the country with his wife, Duchess Meghan. The two now live in the USA with their children Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet. One reason for the withdrawal was the tabloid media’s treatment of Meghan and threats. The couple also made allegations against members of the Royal Family.
According to the Daily Mail, the meeting with Johnson took place on the sidelines of an economic summit in London. Johnson was British Prime Minister from 2019 to 2022. His memoir “Unleashed” is due to be published on October 10th – the title translates as “Unleashed”. The tabloid “Daily Mail” wants to publish excerpts in advance. Johnson also writes regular columns for the paper.
