Music: Linkin Park defends chart top

The US band Linkin Park has now reached first place in the German single charts for the third time with their song. When it comes to album rankings, a new album rises to the top.

The band Linkin Park remains at number one in the German single charts for the third week in a row with their song “The Emptiness Machine”. This was announced by GfK Entertainment. The song, released on September 5th, went straight to number one – just a few days after the band announced their comeback.

New: The 38-year-old frontwoman Emily Armstrong, who was the center of attention at the only Linkin Park concert in Germany on Sunday in Hamburg. Seven years after the death of their frontman, the rock band is currently going on tour again – so far only six dates have been announced. Linkin Park became known for their mix of metal, rock, rap and electronic sounds.

German-language songs can be found in the other places in the top 5 – rapper Shirin David is once again in second place with her summer hit “Bauch Beine Po”, followed by singer Ayliva and rapper Apache 207 with “Wunder” in third place. Fourth place goes to singer Berq with “Red Flags”. The song “Red Cups” by rapper Ufo361 and pop singer Paula Hartmann was newly added and went straight to number 5.

Amigos at the top of the album charts

The Amigos started straight at number one in the album charts – with their album “Voices of the Night”. The hit duo Bernd and Karl-Heinz Ulrich have been releasing records since the 80s, and there are 17 songs on their new album. The Finnish metal group Nightwish takes second place with “Yesterwynde”.
