The new HBO Original miniseries The Penguinproduced in collaboration with DC, premiered on Thursday, September 19 in HBO and Max. The episode was broadcast on HBO on Sunday, September 22.

From now on, The new episodes of the production will always premiere on Sundays at 10:00 p.m.with the second episode confirmed for September 29 on HBO and Max.

The eight-episode drama sees the return of Collin Farrell as Oswald “OZ” Cobb, The Penguin, and his quest to conquer Gotham in this new chapter of Matt Reeves’ The Batman saga. Between nightclubs, car chases and shootouts, Oz Cobb finds key allies for his plan, and enemies unwilling to facilitate his rise in the city’s hierarchy. The first episode is now available on Max.
In addition to Collin Farrell, the cast includes Cristin Milioti (Sofia Falcone), Rhenzy Happy (Victor Aguilar), Michael Kelly (Johnny Viti), Shohreh Aghdashloo (Nadia Maroni), Deirdre O’Connell (Francis Cobb), Clancy Brown (Salvatore Maroni), James Madio (Milos Grapa), Scott Cohen (Luca Falcone) Michael Zegen (Alberto Falcone), Carmen Ejogo (Eve Karlo) and Theo Rossi (Dr. Julian Rush).
The Penguin is executive produced by Matt Reeves, Dylan Clark, Colin Farrell, Lauren LeFrancwho also writes and is the showrunner, along with Craig Zobelwho directs the first three episodes, and Bill Carraro.
Based on characters created for DC by Bob Kane and Bill Finger, the series is produced by Reeves’ 6th & Idaho Productions and Dylan Clark Productions, in association with Warner Bros. Television, where Reeves and 6th & Idaho have an overall deal. Daniel Pipski also serves as executive producer.
