Coast Guard rescues man and dog as Hurricane Helene hits

A video shows the rescue 25 miles from Sanibel Island. The 11-meter sailboat began to sink due to the storm.

One man was rescued with his dog by the coast guard of USA 25 miles from the Sanibel Islandnear the Gulf of Mexico. The rescue took place in the midst of the onslaught of Hurricane Helenewhich made landfall on the coast of Florida at 225km/h causing fatalities.

The man’s 11 meter sailboat began to sink due to strong stormscausing him to be stranded at sea with his pet. The coast guard detected it from their helicopter and came down to help them.

The Clearwater Air Station, belonging to the guard itself, was in charge of recording the moment and disseminating it on its official Facebook account.

The impact of Hurricane Helene

Hurricane Helene made landfall on the southeastern coast of the United States, leaving at least three dead as a result. The victims were counted in the states of Georgia and Florida.
