No deal for Diddy: Rapper is ready to fight

Diddy is reportedly determined to prove his innocence and would refuse a deal with prosecutors.

The arrested musician Sean “Diddy” Combs (54) has no interest in ending his current situation without an acquittal or guilty verdict, as his lawyer Marc Agnifilo said in a statement. He would therefore turn down a deal with the public prosecutor’s office that would allow him to avoid legal proceedings. The rapper is not just about fighting for himself, but also for others in similar situations, Agnifilo said.

Agnifilo also says in the documentary, titled “The Downfall of Diddy: The Indictment,” that Sean “Diddy” Combs continues to insist he is innocent and sees no reason to accept a so-called “plea deal,” even if prosecutors should offer him one. As a matter of principle, Diddy would be turning down a chance for a lesser sentence in the worst case scenario for him. If found guilty, Diddy could face life in prison.

Diddy wants to “inspire” others

According to his lawyer, the rapper continues to be confident of victory and ready to fight. It is said that Diddy wanted to “inspire” others who also felt they were being persecuted by the state. He also wants to prove to his family “that he is the same man they have always known,” explains Agnifilo in the film. According to this, Diddy is being pursued by the FBI because he is a successful black man.

Just on Friday, another woman filed a civil lawsuit against the musician in Florida for sexual abuse. It was the second this week after a woman in New York also made serious allegations against the rapper and his bodyguard on Tuesday. A law firm that is said to represent more than 50 women and men also announced the prospect of further lawsuits.

Bail denied twice

The federal authorities had already searched the music mogul’s house in March, and Combs was finally arrested in New York in mid-September. The court has already refused him bail twice due to the seriousness of the allegations. The 20-page indictment shows that Combs is said to have abused, threatened and coerced women for decades. He is also accused of illegal sex trafficking and organized crime.

His ex-girlfriend Casandra Ventura had already accused the musician of rape and physical violence in a civil lawsuit in 2023. The two settled out of court. In May of this year, CNN released a video showing Combs attacking his then-girlfriend in a hotel hallway.
