Inka Bause wants to stop in 2028 – but not with her career.
Inka Bause (55) has already thought extensively about the idea of quitting. The “Bauer sucht Frau” presenter said that she even set a reminder in her cell phone so that she wouldn’t miss the “jump”.
As she immediately proves to her conversation partner Annika Lau (45), every single day from January 1, 2028, the year in which she turns 60, her cell phone calendar will contain the reminder: “INKA must stop” with several exclamation points . Bause says she set this memory about five years ago. It just doesn’t seem so clear what she wants to stop doing. Above all, it’s about reflecting, explains Bause: “To question myself.”
No more dirndls after 60?
But it doesn’t seem to be about her work as a presenter or her show “Bauer sucht Frau”. Apparently, Bause is instead worried about being seen differently than she feels, as she further discusses: “I will always feel young. […] But I also want to say, when you’re 60, you might not be doing things that you did 30 years ago. For example, wearing a dirndl. Or really sexy and leather and cleavage down to here.”
She knows some older colleagues who would become strange as they get older, “and then they start messing around with people who could be their children. And I don’t want that.” At the same time, Bause made it clear with regard to her work: “But I’m definitely not stopping. I might just stop dancing on the tables at marquee events.”
