The naked dress gets a fall update: At Paris Fashion Week, Paris Jackson presented herself in a trench coat – and that was it.
We all know the idea of naked dress by now. In recent years, countless Hollywood beauties have walked the red carpet in dresses that covered little to nothing with their sheer fabrics. Paris Jackson (26) now seems to have come up with something more subtle for autumn: the naked coat dress.
The daughter of Michael Jackson (1958-2009) appeared on Monday (September 30th) in a thick oversized trench coat for Stella McCartney’s (53) fashion show at Fashion Week in Paris. That’s it. At least apparently. It is doubtful that Paris was actually naked under her coat, but the appearance was definitely intended to be created.
Sexy, casual and unusual
There was not an inch of material visible under the V-neckline that the coat offered, neither a bra nor a thin top. Instead, Paris’ chakra tattoos, which she had tattooed between her breasts, were partially visible. She emphasized her waist with the tied belt of the oversized trench. Paris treated the bottom part of the coat like a skirt with a high slit – and always let her leg peek out underneath for the photographers.
An outfit that skilfully plays with expectations and looks casual and sexy at the same time. Jackson further fueled this contradiction with the styling. There was no jewelry and she wore her hair, supposedly unstyled, in a relaxed out-of-bed style. The burgundy red, pointed slingback pumps and the large clutch in the same color provided an autumnal splash of color in the otherwise beige ensemble.
Even more “Naked Coat Dresses”
And Jackson wasn’t the only one in the star-studded audience who went for the new coat look: model Ashley Graham (36) also appeared in a trench coat that was never opened and may have already been the entire outfit. Paramore singer Hayley Williams (35) went one step further: She left her rustic coat jacket open and only presented a nude-colored bra and matching microshorts underneath.
