With the completion of the highway on RN8, Howard Johnson strengthens its presence in Pergamino

Howard Johnson Pergamino brought together more than 300 people to celebrate its 9 years of life and the positioning achieved after a year of inaugurating the highway on RN8. National and municipal authorities, businessmen and travel agencies were present.

The event was attended by Marcelo Torti (Director – Owner of the Hotel); Alberto Albamonte (President of the Howard Johnson and Days Inn hotel chains); Javier Martínez (mayor of Pergamino); César Casenave (National Director of Tourism Credits and Investments); José Luis Espert (National Deputy and native of Pergamino) and Daniel Scioli (Secretary of Tourism and Sports of the Nation).

Known as the “National Seed Capital” or also as the “Pearl of the North of Buenos Aires”, and added to its privileged geographical location, Pergamino has become the center of the Agricultural Core of the country with one of the most fertile lands in the world and with one of the highest sales values.

In September 2023, the city celebrated the inauguration of the Highway on RN 8 that connects the town of Pilar with Pergamino. This route is a trunk corridor of Buenos Aires that links the province with Santa Fe, Córdoba and San Luis, and fulfills a triple function for the transfer of industrial, commercial cargo and long-distance passengers. The completion of this highway made it possible to connect the municipalities of Pilar, Exaltación de la Cruz, San Antonio de Areco, Capitán Sarmiento, Arrecifes and Pergamino. The work also provided greater road safety to the route and streamlined circulation for light and heavy vehicles, in addition to promoting commercial development and strengthening productive competitiveness, in this key area for agricultural and livestock production in the north of Buenos Aires and the south of Santa Fe. This work, already enabled for transit, means that the traveler leaving from the northern access, for example, can reach the hotel in just 1.30 hours.
