Désirée Nick’s son Oscar has had a stellar career at just 28 years old. And he not only has noble blood – but also more in common with the English princes.
Désirée Nick is known for her sharp tongue. When she talks about her son, however, what you hear most is pride. In the magazine “Bunte” Nick reveals that her son Oscar can already look back on a remarkable educational career. “I knew I had to raise a royal prince,” she says. What does that mean? Her son comes from her relationship with the nobleman Heinrich Prince of Hanover. The 28-year-old is therefore also a prince.
Désirée Nick: Your son lives in England
And the role obviously comes with certain demands. At the age of eleven, Nick’s son Oscar went to England, where he attended St. Edward’s School in Oxford. After graduating from high school, he attended the University of St. Andrew’s in Scotland, one of the best in Great Britain. Prince William and his current wife Princess Kate met there more than 20 years ago. The two are definitely the most famous alumni of St. Andrews, but the university has produced many other successful people. But Oscar’s training didn’t end there. After studying economics, Nick’s son went straight to business. “To the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst, where William and Harry also served,” explains the cabaret artist.
Formative years, as she further reveals. “Now Oscar is an officer in an elite unit of the British military. That’s the ‘Royal Corps of Signals’, where Princess Anne is Colonel Chief,” she explains.
He wants to maintain his privacy
Two years ago, Nick revealed on her podcast “Lose Luder” that her son didn’t want to appear in public. “He doesn’t want it. He doesn’t send me any pictures anymore. There were wonderful situations in which I was hurt… hurt is saying too much, a little offended. I mean, graduation (German: graduation) “I don’t get any picture of big things or big successes,” she said sadly at the time. “Now he has a new girlfriend. I’m speculating it will be something permanent. Do you think I’ll see a picture? Then he says to me: ‘I’m not sending you anything, you’ll post it then.’ “So, I don’t get any pictures of my son at all,” she also said.
