Peter Francis Kennedy63, was arrested in the Buenos Aires neighborhood of Belgrano as part of an investigation for child abuse. He had an international arrest warrant requested by the Colombian justice system and was considered one of the most dangerous and wanted pedophiles in Latin America.
He had sexually abused minors in that country, subjecting his victims to aberrant practices. Through the international cooperation promoted by the Ministry of Security, we were able to arrest him in the Buenos Aires neighborhood of Belgrano, thanks to the work of the detectives of the Interpol department of the Argentine Federal Police.
Regarding the events investigated by the Colombian justice system, it was determined that Kennedy is responsible for the events that occurred during the year 2022 in the city of Cali (Valle del Cauca), where he rented different apartments in a building on Avenida de las Américas, to take boys, girls and adolescents in exchange for money to sexually abuse them. Likewise, it was proven that the fugitive also had sexual relations with animals and subjected minors to zoophilic acts.
Thus, within the framework of a fluid exchange of information with Interpol Colombia, it was detected that this man would be in Argentina. In this way, the federal agents carried out extensive field tasks for several days and after consulting the National Directorate of Migration, it was determined that the subject registered several entries into our country, declaring different addresses in the city of Córdoba Capital.
In this context and after the intervention of the Federal Court No. 3 of Córdoba, led by Dr. Miguel Hugo Vaca Narvaja, Criminal Secretariat led by Dr. Mariana Buteler de Barros, collaboration was requested from the Operational Research Directorate dependent on the Public Prosecutor’s Office of said province, with the aim of expanding the investigations in that region.
As a result, it was found that the fugitive had married a woman very younger than him and immediately requested to settle in the country, so the Interpol officers deduced that there was no emotional bond in that marriage, but rather it was a via “express” to achieve citizenship.
As the investigation progressed, the detectives confirmed that before his international capture was published, the person involved took a flight to Brazil with a stopover in São Paulo and destination in Fortaleza. In this sense, through collaboration with Interpol Brasilia agents, it was determined that at the beginning of September, Kennedy traveled to Foz de Iguazú, where he would have acquired a false identity and with which he subsequently entered the national territory.
Consequently, after arduous criminal intelligence tasks based on the analysis of call lists and antenna impacts on the escapee’s cell phone, the police established that he would carry out a transaction in a notary office located on Rodríguez Peña Street, in the City. from Buenos Aires.
At the same time, thanks to the collaboration of the Cybercrime Technical Department of the PFA, tasks were implemented to geolocate the fugitive’s cell phone, which made it possible to mount a discreet operation in the area that culminated with his capture on public roads, on the street. Mendoza at 1700, within the Chino neighborhood located in Belgrano, Autonomous City of Buenos Aires.
