Between today and Saturday, the city of Moscow will be the scene of this international event, where designers will present collections that reflect the rich cultural heritage of the region.
Until October 5, Latin America’s vibrant fashion scene will take center stage at international exhibition ‘Heritage’ which will be carried out as part of BRICS+ Fashion Summitan important international fashion forum. Mexico, Argentina, Venezuela, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru and other Latin American countries will be well represented at the BRICS+ Fashion Summit. Experts will share educational best practices and designers will present collections that reflect the region’s rich cultural heritage.

“South America is of great interest due to its natural resources, market opportunities and the potential to create geopolitical alliances. My lectures will focus on perceptions of men’s fashion in certain regions of Brazil and Colombia,” shares Santiago Romero Rodríguez, professor at the University of Bogotá Jorge Tadeo Lozano.


It is estimated that the Latin American textile market will be worth $35.17 billion this year. By 2029, it is expected to reach $44.18 billion. This data is provided by the influential marketing company Mordor Intelligence. The largest textile producing countries are Peru, Brazil and Colombia. The Business Program BRICS+ Fashion Summit will bring together more than 200 experts and leaders from the fashion industry.
An important delegation from Latin American countries is expected, including Karina Díaz Vargas – Executive Director of Costa Rica Fashion Week, Pietro Polit – Director of Quito Fashion Week (Ecuador), Nando Yax – Associate Director of the Guatemala Fashion Week, Camila Ortega – Director of Designs Nicaragua, and others.
Among the more than 40 participants announced for the exhibition ‘Heritage’ There are Latin American brands, such as Fábrica Social (Mexico), which shows the history of indigenous women in Mexico. Fábrica Social is about the fight for social equality. Other brands from Latin America will also be represented at the Summit: Omar Valladolid (Peru), Raenrra Diseño (Venezuela), Estilo Quetzal (Guatemala), Fábrica Social (Mexico), Artisan Collection (El Salvador), Maison Revolta (Brazil).

The proportion of regional groups participating in the BRICS+ Fashion Summit represented more than 30% of the global creative economy, making Moscow one of the most important centers of strategic decision-making and cooperation in this field.
Parallel to the Summit, Moscow Fashion Week will be held from October 4 to 9which will become a platform to showcase talents from Brazil, Costa Rica, China, India, Russia and other countries.
