The 2025 tourist season is just around the corner and travelers are already planning their destination and budget.

According to a recent ranking prepared by Hellosafe, The Caribbean islands top the most expensive destinations in the world to travel. To obtain this conclusion, they analyzed accommodation expenses (hotel or apartment for rent), food expenses, transportation expenses and finally expenses for visits and tourist activities in the destination.

According to the analysis of 133 countries, Barbados is the most expensive to visit with a daily budget per person of US$346.79. It is followed by Antigua and Barbuda US$324.51 and Saint Kitts and Nevis US$285.72. Fourth place is occupied by the Maldives with a budget per day of US$275.32 and the island of Grenada US$272.72.

As expected, European countries also entered the ranking with Switzerland occupying sixth place with US$266.20 of daily expenses. The United States, one of the favorite destinations of Argentines, came in seventh place with a spending of US$262.17.

Although Argentina was in the middle of the table, in 86th place, the country is expensive in dollars, which results in a drop in foreign tourism in the country.
