While others spend hour after hour in the gym, Keith Urban has his own unique way to stay in shape.
Get on the treadmill or jog through nature? This is obviously not for Keith Urban (56). The singer and husband of Hollywood star Nicole Kidman (57) follows a strict fitness program, but the musician apparently replaces classic endurance training with concerts.
“I love the adrenaline of a live show. I love that I can get a solid cardio workout for two hours on stage,” Urban tells the magazine. “I don’t go to a gym to do two hours of cardio.” So instead he twirls around the stage and promises that the whole thing is a fabulous endurance workout. He was in top shape afterwards.
Urban has been relying on this type of endurance training for a long time. “I have a ten-pound wooden board around my neck and I sing,” explains the musician. “I love the physicality of what I can do and how I can do it.”
Nicole Kidman: From yoga to cycling
His wife, to whom he has been married since 2006, is always in top form. However, according to media reports, Kidman probably sticks to more classic activities – simply because the busy actress has to juggle job and family. “That’s why I’m a fan of all types of training,” explained the mother of four back in 2014.
“I run, bike, do yoga, whatever I can and wherever I am in the world,” Kidman said. At least back then, she often tried to exercise with the whole family, which made it easier to squeeze in a workout. When it comes to fitness, she just tries not to be too hard on herself and to add variety so that the whole thing continues to be fun.
