Singer Luca Hänni talked about how his daughter changed his life and his marriage in a new interview.
Shortly before his 30th birthday on October 8th, singer Luca Hänni drew a positive interim conclusion. “Somehow, unintentionally, everything was very traditional for me, like in a picture book: house, marriage, child,” he revealed in an interview. But that’s exactly what he finds “super nice”.
New priorities
With his small family, which he founded with his wife Christina (34), a “whole new horizon” has opened up that brings different priorities, said the 2012 “DSDS” winner in . His perspective on life has changed since the birth of his daughter in June. “Before, it was always a lot about business and career. That’s good, it drives you. But now it’s really nice to have a little person at home who doesn’t care about any of that.” Being a father is “quite slowing down” for him. “It took a little bit of speed out.” And so he will spend his big birthday relaxing at home with a cozy meal with his loved ones.
The baby changes life a lot “also in terms of time management”. “We both used to travel quite spontaneously, especially with our jobs. Now there’s a little person to look after and, especially in the early days, we attach great importance to actually having this time for the child.” After all, this closeness is “incomparable” and they can’t even separate from the little one. “Feeling that connection is amazing.”
More babies? “It’s a little too early now”
The young father proudly reported on his daughter’s progress: “Now she’s even smiling a little with a tone. That’s really cool – something new just happens every week.” The relationship with his wife, whom he once met on “Let’s Dance”, has also changed as a result of the offspring. The love has become even greater. “There is a different feeling when you experience everything together and complement each other well.” And that’s the case with them: “I’m certainly a bit more active. I’m currently doing a bit more around the house and cooking more, but my wife is a bit more with the little one, just because of breastfeeding.”
However, the Swiss remains a little tight-lipped about whether there will be more children in the Hänni home: “I think it’s a bit too early now.” We have to see what time brings. Hänni emphasizes: “Now let’s enjoy the little one.”
Moderation jobs and live podcast
And he also has a lot going on professionally: the soon-to-be 30-year-old recently released his new song “Love Me Better”. From October 19th he will be presenting the live show “YOUNG ARTISTS – Best of Switzerland” with his wife; from spring he will also be the new presenter of the KiKa music show “Dein Song”. Together with his loved one, the musician also runs the podcast “Don’t Worry, Be Hänni”, with which they will also appear in front of an audience next year. The premiere is scheduled to take place on January 6, 2025 in Basel.
The singer and the professional dancer met on “Let’s Dance” in 2020. They announced their relationship a few months after the show finale, and the wedding followed in the summer of 2023. Her first child was born in mid-June 2024. The small family lives together in Luca Hänni’s home country, Switzerland.
