From the underground in the seventies to the massiveness of the late nineties and early two thousand, Indio’s lyrics and Skay’s music generated a social/cultural movement of great impact in the country. “The bands” as the followers of the redonditos were called grew at exponential levels, it was becoming increasingly difficult to find a place to accommodate the public. The massiveness brought problems, the wear generated internal and the band separated without saying goodbye.
After the separation, El Indio founded his first solo band: The Air Conditioning Fundamentalists. With his new group, Solari released four studio albums: El Tesoro de los Inocentes (2004), Porco Rex (2007), El perfume de la tempestad (2010) and Pajaritos, Bravos Muchachitos (2013). The live performances continued the trend born with the rounds, hundreds of thousands of people mobilized from all over the country to each of their shows.
His last live performance was on March 11, 2017 in Olavarría, where nearly 400,000 followers collapsed the city with a tragic balance of two people dying within the framework of the festival. After these incidents and due to a complicated state of health (he suffers from Parkinson’s syndrome) El Indio decided to move away from the stage.
