Jochen Horst lost his father in a tragic accident in a swimming pool, as he tells the “Celebrity Big Brother” house.
Actor Jochen Horst (63) spoke about a tragic incident in his childhood in the “Celebrity Big Brother” container. In a conversation with fellow campaigner Bea Peters (42), the “Balko” star revealed: “I’m also older than my father was. He was a little over 50.” He died in an accident: “Drowned. In the swimming pool. And I tried to pull him out,” says Jochen Horst, who was nine years old at the time.
Roommate has great respect
His father jumped from the tower into the water and broke his neck. “I jumped first, then he did, and it took an incredibly long time for him to get up. Then he came to the surface and I tried to pull him out. Then the lifesavers came, that took a long time.” It was very crowded in the swimming pool, “they didn’t even see it. The only consolation is that they probably didn’t notice much.”
Celebrity reporter Bea Peters, who grew up with her father and whose mother died at 39, then looks back on the conversation with Jochen Horst in the consulting room: “I didn’t bother him, I think he wanted to get it off his chest talk.” She has great respect for him, the way he dealt with it “and grew into a tidy and cool man.”
“Celebrity Big Brother” can be seen live on Sat.1 and in the 24/7 live stream on Joyn every Monday and Tuesday at 8:15 p.m. and Wednesday to Sunday at 10:30 p.m.
