The objectives of the new Telecom technology company
The objective of the new company is position yourself as a main partner of operators in the Latin American region to accelerate the monetization of network and data services via APIS, facilitating the integration and coding of network services for developers who design applications.
Openxpand was born under the global standard Open Gateway of the GSMA, an initiative that transforms telecommunications networks into programmable services through secure and standardized APIs.
At the forefront of this new digital business paradigm, Openxpand takes advantage of the momentum of an ecosystem in which the main global telecommunications operators participate and have launched APIs in key areas such as security and fraud prevention. This approach promotes innovation and accelerates the monetization of networks in the region.
The launch of Openxpand was carried out within the framework of the ATVC 2024 International Conference and included the participation of Roberto Nobile, CEO of Telecom; Leandro Rzezak, founder of Intraway; Lucas Lodeiro, CEO of Openxpand, and Lucas Gallito, Director of GSMA for Latin America.

The first APIs, now available, allow Apps to have a secure login and new validations in their mobile transactions. These are the following:

–Number Verification– Automatically authenticates a user’s line without requiring SMS passwords.
–Device Status: Detects if a SIM is roaming, preventing fraud.
-Device Location: Validates device location to prevent GPS spoofing.
These four APIs are the beginning for Openxpand and Telecom Argentina. Currently the company is about to develop a catalyst with Banco Galicia to explore new uses and impacts of APIs.
