Dutch TV presenter Linda de Mol has ended her relationship after allegations of sexual assault by her partner. Musician Jeroen Rietbergen admitted to having sexual contact with women from the TV show “The Voice of Holland” over the weekend. But that was a few years ago. As a result, Linda de Mol (“dream wedding”), which is also known in Germany, took the consequences after more than 14 years of relationship.
“I’ve been in a terrible nightmare for a few days,” wrote the 57-year-old on her media platform Linda.nl. So many things came up that she didn’t know about. Since the sources are partly anonymous, “I don’t know what is true and what isn’t,” she explains. Nevertheless, she drew consequences. “Jeroen doesn’t live with me anymore.” She ended the relationship and took a break from her work to process the incidents.
Casting show canceled due to serious allegations
On Saturday, the TV broadcaster RTL Nederland canceled the popular talent show after allegations of assault and abuse of power became known. Sponsors also withdrew. At least one other musician is also accused. Band leader Rietbergen resigned.
The casting format “The Voice” developed by de Mol’s brother, the TV producer John de Mol, started in 2010. The German version “The Voice of Germany” has been around since 2011.
