She is one of the most successful German track and field athletes of recent years. Now Gesa Krause is engaged – to the father of her little daughter.
The two-time European obstacle champion Gesa Felicitas Krause has gotten engaged. The top German track and field athlete announced this on Instagram. In one photo, she toasted her daughter Lola “to being with your daddy forever,” she wrote. In one picture, the 32-year-old, who is currently on vacation in Mallorca, holds a ring into the camera and comments: “The easiest “yes” in the world.”
Krause and her partner have a one and a half year old daughter. After her birth in April 2023, the Hessian, who competes for the Silvesterlauf Trier club, quickly returned to competitive sport. Krause won silver at the European Championships in Rome in June and also competed at the Olympic Games in Paris in the summer. Her greatest sporting successes so far are European Championship gold in 2016 and 2018 and World Cup bronze in 2015 and 2019 in the 3000 meter obstacle.
