Pietro Lombardi: Statement after allegations of violence and police operation

There was apparently a police operation at Pietro Lombardi and Laura Maria Rypa. His lawyer denies allegations and the couple released a statement.

Pietro Lombardi and his fiancée Laura Maria Rypa apparently recently had a heated argument. According to a media report, it wasn’t just the police who were called. There is also an allegation of alleged domestic violence, which the singer’s lawyer emphatically rejects.

Disagreements and insults

There was a corresponding police operation in Cologne on the night of October 7th. This was confirmed to the daily newspaper by Lombardi’s lawyer Simon Bergmann. In addition, Lombardi is not allowed to approach his fiancée in the coming days and is not allowed to enter their home at first. It is a normal process “when there is an allegation of domestic violence.” The Cologne University Hospital, which Rypa went to according to the report, filed a complaint against Lombardi for assault. The lawyer also confirmed this.

“Our client did not use violence against his fiancée on the night of October 7, 2024,” Bergmann is quoted as saying. The statement speaks of differences of opinion, “[…] which involved mutual insults. As part of this emotional argument, there was also mutual touching, but no violence was used by our client against his fiancée.”

Lawyer emphatically denies accusation

According to the report, Rypa called the police. “This happened due to Ms. Rypa’s high level of emotional excitement following the verbal argument,” the daily newspaper continues. “Since, as explained, our client did not use any violence against his fiancée nor did he injure her, the allegation of domestic violence is emphatically rejected.” The “Gala” has now reached Rypa’s management by phone. “We won’t say anything about it”, “no comment”.

Lomabardi and Rypa published two identical posts via story on their Instagram profiles on Tuesday evening. Due to the current headlines, the couple writes that they now have to speak out. And further: “The press is trying to aggravate the conflict even more and often doesn’t take certain statements very seriously. We don’t want that, so we won’t give it a platform here and act in the interests of our children so that the public is kept out of it.” .

It was only announced in August that Lombardi and Rypa had become parents again. “We are incredibly happy to announce that our son Amelio Elija was born healthy,” . Their first son, Leano (1), was born at the beginning of 2023.
